The Open Water Certification Course is designed for individuals seeking to become certified scuba divers. This course provides the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to dive safely and confidently in open water environments.
Course Overview:
Duration: The course is broken down into three sections. E-Learning, Confined Water and Checkout Open Water Dives.
Prerequisites: Participants must be at least 10 years old, and those under 18 require parental consent. Basic swimming skills are essential.
Materials Needed: Students must purchase their own mask, snorkel, fins and boots. (Scuba rental equipment is included in class price)
Self-paced online course
Knowledge of diving equipment and maintenance
Knowledge of dive planning and safety protocols
2. Confined Water Training
Hands-on instructor lead training in pool setting:Practice essential skills like buoyancy control, mask clearing, and emergency procedures
Familiarize themselves with scuba gear
3. Open Water Dives
The culmination of the course features a series of open water dives where students will:Apply learned skills in a real dive environment
Experience underwater navigation and participate in guided exploration
Upon successful completion of the course, including exams and dive assessments, participants will receive a recognized Open Water Diver certification. This certification allows graduates to dive with a buddy to a maximum depth of 60 feet (18 meters), anywhere in the world.
